four years in a nutshell

Zuzia at the moment is 4 years and over the years a lot has happened. Already in the first week of life at home, ill with pneumonia and had to return to the hospital. Fortunately, quickly recovered.
In addition to the daily care of what is needed for niemowlakach, you had to remember to mandatory inspection visits with different specialists: ophthalmologist, cardiologist, neurologist, neurosurgeon. Was also necessary since the first days of rehabilitation, through which could Zuzia properly develop.

Quite soon it became clear that the hydrocephalus, which resulted in bleeding in the head, uaktywniło and had to go to hospital, where neurosurgeons implanted valve, whereby the tightness of the head resigned. You learned that the eye is Zuzia myopia, astigmatism, nystagmus and strabismus. More or less the first year of life Zuzia wears glasses, which from the beginning, and often were hindered in its holder than on the nose. At the moment these are the glasses lens at -4 defect -6 in both meshes. Now they are often on the nose already. :) Ophthalmologic consultation ride to Krakow. Apparently there is the best clinic specializing in the field of squint and nystagmus. At the April 2010 year, we appointed the first treatment.

Recently, it turned out that all this has come to epilepsy. This year, our lad was already three times in the hospital for that reason, and now takes on the anticonvulsant permanently (DEPAKINE).

But that it was not that Zuzia has the same unpleasant experience, talk about the positive side of life.

Zuzia a cheerful child, which, as its passage is developing very nicely. Through rehabilitation she began to walk. Due to the increased muscle tension first independent steps set until the age of three years, but for us, and so it was great fun :) . Slowly begin to speak, can express what he wants, for now the only one known in :) , Which is not always understood, and then pretty much be nervous. Becomes more independent, able to eat alone, alone to undress and sometimes even wear. Often, simply can not help themselves, all want to "siam".

I must also say that thanks to the hard work of occupational therapy right handle, which the increased muscle tension, which I wrote earlier, was in the beginning at all into oblivion, now begin to work with the left, which in turn has always worked for two.

Overall, the four years of his life has made enormous progress, in spite of various adversities that had to be overcome.

Since April this year Zuzia go to kindergarten, where he is rehabilitated, is working with speech therapist, learning to cope and live among other children. She likes to go there, but unfortunately the last very often suffering from upper respiratory tract, which is the only guy in the nursery. : ( Every moment gets drugs that are designed to strengthen the resistance, however, antibiotics which, unfortunately, often must be taken not allow the draw resistance. We hope that in the end trafimy drug that will help or that simply grow Zuzia these horrible infections. Recently we were at the doctor, who specializes in allergies. Did Zuzi new tests and found that it begins to be allergic to dust mites and mold, no ... : ( hence may be the continuous bouts and infections. Mr. Doctor enrolled special syropek and promised to work on resistance Zuzi ... would invent something good ... :)

Nor can I fail to mention the establishment of mullein. This is a school for children with poor sight, which is the Early Support Development Workshop. Ladies work there not a little contributed to the development of Zuzi. At the beginning they were home visits, but now we are going to Ladies once every two weeks. Children there are various incentives provided much needed to develop not only in terms of eye diseases, but also social, logopedycznym and ogólnorozwojowym. In the team there to charming and is also an opportunity to meet with other mamusiami and tatusiami with whom you can share their experiences and novelties.

In June last year, was organized by the institution Four trip over Sulejowski Reservoir. It was cool only briefly :)
